Fees & Insurance

Clear information, so you can focus on what matters.

Deciding to begin therapy is a meaningful step, and understanding the financial side shouldn't add to your stress.

At Rise Gently Therapy, I believe in being upfront about fees and helping you understand your options before we begin.

Session Fees

Individual Therapy — $140 per 50-minute session

Sessions are available in person in Marietta, Georgia, or virtually throughout Georgia.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can talk about what you're looking for, answer your questions, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

There's no pressure or obligation to schedule therapy afterward.

Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits

Rise Gently Therapy is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.

Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement through your out-of-network mental health benefits.

I'm happy to provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Because every insurance plan is different, I recommend contacting your insurance provider before beginning therapy to ask about your out-of-network benefits.

Some helpful questions to ask your insurance company:

  • Does my plan cover out-of-network outpatient mental health services?

  • Does my plan reimburse for psychotherapy provided by a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) practicing under clinical supervision?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible?

  • What percentage of the cost might be reimbursed?

  • Are there any requirements for submitting a superbill?

Reimbursement is determined by your insurance company and cannot be guaranteed.

Payment Options

Payment is due at the time of each session and is processed securely through SimplePractice using the credit or debit card kept on file.

Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards are also accepted for eligible therapy expenses, depending on your plan.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, clients who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of their healthcare services.

You have the right to receive a written estimate of expected charges before receiving services, including when you request one or schedule care within the timeframes required by federal law.

A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to attend a particular number of therapy sessions.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

To request a Good Faith Estimate or ask questions about therapy fees, please contact me at info@risegentlytherapy.com.
