Why “Rise Gently”?

If this resonates with you, I’d be honored to connect.

I work with capable, high-functioning women and moms who are used to being the strong one — and who are quietly exhausted from carrying so much.

On the outside, you’re holding it together.
On the inside, you feel stretched thin, irritable, disconnected, or just deeply tired.

Therapy here isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about helping you feel steady again.

I’m Elizabeth Ainsworth — therapist and mom, and someone who understands how heavy life can feel when you’re always the one holding it together.

My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience navigating stress, caregiving, and rebuilding after difficult seasons. Those experiences influence how I show up in the therapy room — steady, practical, and without pretense.

You won’t find pressure to “fix yourself” here.
You’ll find space to slow down, untangle what feels overwhelming, and begin to feel like yourself again.

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) practicing under clinical supervision in Georgia.

I focus on practical tools and deeper insight — helping you understand what’s happening in your mind and nervous system so change feels sustainable, not forced. I approach therapy collaboratively — meaning we work together to understand what’s happening and create change that feels realistic for your life.

I believe healing happens gently — not through force, but through clarity, compassion, and steady support.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) practicing in Georgia under clinical supervision.

I offer individual therapy for adult women, both in-person in Marietta and virtually across Georgia.

My work is informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and nervous-system–aware practices, with a focus on steady, sustainable change.

For many of the women I work with, the problem isn’t a lack of strength. It’s that you’ve been strong for too long.

Rising gently means rebuilding without pressure.
It means growth that respects your limits.
It means finding steadiness instead of striving.
It’s about making changes that fit into real life — not adding more to your already full plate.

This is your soft place to land — and your steady place to rise.

We can begin with a brief consultation — a chance to talk through what’s feeling heavy and see whether working together feels like the right next step.
